Game Day Pizza Delivery in Cleveland: Ordering From Your Nearest Rascal House

specialties_hero2

The trick to game day pizza is ordering before the game ends, not after. Everyone else waits for the final whistle, and everyone else waits an hour.

Cleveland’s venues sit close enough together that one Rascal House covers most of them, but which location you call depends on where you are watching from. Rascal House has five Greater Cleveland locations and has been feeding this city since 1980, back when the original store opened across from Cleveland State. This guide covers which location to call for which venue, what to order for a group, and how to time it so the food lands when you want it.

Which Rascal House is closest to Cleveland’s venues?

Downtown Cleveland, at 1836 Euclid Avenue, is the answer for almost every major venue. Three of the four big ones sit within about a mile of it.

Rocket Arena. Home of the Cavaliers and the Cleveland Monsters, at 1 Center Court in the Gateway District. Note the name if you have not been in a while: the building was Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse until early 2025, when it rebranded to Rocket Arena. Call Downtown at (216) 781-6784.

Progressive Field. Home of the Guardians, right next door to Rocket Arena in the same Gateway complex. Downtown again.

Huntington Bank Field. Home of the Browns, on the lakefront at 100 Alfred Lerner Way. Still downtown. The team broke ground on a new enclosed stadium in Brook Park in April 2026, but that does not open until 2029, so the lakefront is still where Browns Sundays happen.

Wolstein Center. Cleveland State’s arena at 2000 Prospect Avenue, a few blocks from the Rascal House at 1836 Euclid. This is the closest venue to any Rascal House in the city.

If you are watching from home rather than at the venue, order from whichever location is nearest to your couch. University Circle at (216) 791-4444, University Heights at (216) 397-3333, Euclid at (216) 692-2525, or Maple Heights at (216) 332-9700.

When should you place a game day order?

Before the game ends. That is the whole strategy, and it works because the rush is predictable.

Cavs games at Rocket Arena typically end around 10 PM and send a wave of orders into downtown kitchens for the next two hours. Guardians games at Progressive Field follow a similar pattern through the April to October season. Browns games are mostly Sunday afternoons, which pushes the rush earlier, though Monday and Thursday night games create real late demand.

If you are hosting a watch party, order during the third quarter or the seventh inning. The food arrives around the end of the game instead of an hour after everyone got hungry.

If you are heading home from the game, order from your seat before you leave. By the time you have walked out, found your car, and driven home, the order is either ready for pickup or close behind you.

What to order for a game day group

The problem with feeding a group during a game is that nobody wants to negotiate. Here is what works.

Wings, obviously

Crispy Boneless Wings or bone-in Buffalo Wings, in mild BBQ, hot, honey mustard, garlic, or sweet chili. They come in 6, 10, 20, and 25 piece, so you can scale to the room.

For a real watch party, the Wing Platter runs 50 or 100 wings on a party platter with blue cheese or buttermilk ranch. That is the order for a full living room rather than four people on a couch.

The pizza that ends the argument

The Rascal House Deluxe. The menu calls it everyone’s favorite, and it earns that by stacking aged pepperoni, sliced mushrooms, green peppers, red onion, and mild Italian sausage on one pie. Nobody has to compromise and nobody has to order a second pizza.

If the group is hungrier than that, the Super Deluxe adds meatballs and hickory smoked bacon with a Six Pepper Blend. Meat Lovers goes wide with pepperoni, Italian sausage, bacon, and ham. All three come in Medium (8-cut), Large (12-cut), and BellyBuster (16-cut), and the BellyBuster is the game day size.

The stuff that rounds it out

Waffle Fries and Garlic Sesame Breadsticks are the two sides that disappear fastest. Chicken Tenders give you a milder option for a mixed group, including kids. Jumbo Warm Pretzel Sticks with warm cheddar cheese sauce are worth asking about, though they are listed as available at select locations.

For the people who do not want wings or pizza, the Rascal Burger is a half pound sirloin patty, and the Greek Salad brings feta, kalamata olives, and pepperoncini. Both come from the same kitchen on the same ticket, which is the thing a pizza-only shop cannot do.

How late can you order after a game?

That depends entirely on which location you are calling, and the spread is wider than most people expect.

LocationWeeknightsFri and SatSunday
Downtown Cleveland2:30 AM2:30 AM2:30 AM
University Circle2:30 AM2:30 AM1:30 AM
Maple Heights12:30 AM (Mon to Wed)1:30 AM (Thu to Sat)10:00 PM
Euclid12:00 AM1:00 AM12:00 AM
University Heightspast midnightlater on weekendspast midnight

University Heights hours are being confirmed with the location, so call (216) 397-3333 first if you are ordering late there.

Two things matter for game day specifically. Downtown is the only location holding 2:30 AM every night, which covers any event that runs long. And Maple Heights closes at 10:00 PM on Sunday, which is the same window a Browns game wraps up in, so order early if that is your store.

The other rule: real last call is 30 minutes before close. The final half hour is prep and delivery, not ordering.

Ordering delivery on a game night

A few things make the difference between a 30-minute delivery and a long wait.

Order direct. Ordering at rascalhouse.com rather than through a third-party app skips a routing layer, gets the order in front of the kitchen immediately, and avoids the delivery markup.

Get the address details right. If you are in an apartment or a downtown building, include the unit number and a callback number. If you are at a hotel, add the room number and the hotel name, since several downtown properties share a block. The driver will call from the lobby.

Expect a wider window on event nights. Typical delivery runs 30 to 60 minutes, but that stretches after a game lets out. This is exactly why ordering before the final whistle beats ordering after it.

Consider carryout. Most orders are ready in 10 to 15 minutes. If you are walking back from Rocket Arena or Progressive Field, stopping at 1836 Euclid Avenue on the way is often faster than waiting on a driver during the busiest hour of the night.

Feeding a bigger watch party

For anything over about ten people, casual catering is the better move, and it is faster than most people assume. Rascal House catering offers same day delivery and can be ready in as little as an hour for smaller orders.

The Rascal House planning guide gives real serving counts. A size A wing platter serves 10 to 16, size B serves 24 to 32, and size C serves 48 to 64. A size A tossed salad serves 10 to 16 and size B serves 20 to 32. The guide’s own advice is to combine sizes rather than stretching one, so a group of 35 takes a size A plus a size B.

Party trays cover the rest: the Chicken Tender Platter serves 12 to 18, the Deli Sub Tray serves 10 to 12, and Penne Pasta Bowls come in half and full. The Cookie Tray and Brownie Dessert Tray close it out.

One exception to the fast turnaround. The Vegetable Tray and Dip requires 24 hours notice. Everything else runs on shorter lead time, though a big order still deserves more than the one-hour minimum.

Why Rascal House and game day go together in Cleveland

The original Rascal House opened in 1980 at 1836 Euclid Avenue, directly across from Cleveland State University. Mike and Fouly Frangos built it around a simple problem: people needed good food fast, at the hours they actually wanted it, and they did not all want the same thing.

That is a game day problem before it is anything else. By 1982, Cleveland State students had voted Rascal House the best off-campus eatery. Rascal House has also been recognized as “Cleveland’s Best Pizza” by the Cleveland Plain Dealer.

Forty-five years later, downtown has grown around that store. The Gateway complex opened in 1994, bringing Rocket Arena and Progressive Field within a mile. Huntington Bank Field went up on the lakefront in 1999, and the Wolstein Center sits a few blocks away.

All of it arrived after Rascal House was already there, and all of it runs on the same late schedule the store was built for.

The menu range is the other half. Most game day options are pizza-only or wings-only, which means somebody in your group loses. One Rascal House order carries a BellyBuster, a wing platter, a burger, and a Greek Salad from the same kitchen at the same time.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where can I order pizza delivery near Rocket Arena?

Rascal House Downtown at 1836 Euclid Avenue is the closest location to Rocket Arena, home of the Cavaliers and Monsters, and delivers across downtown until 2:30 AM. Call (216) 781-6784 or order at rascalhouse.com.

What time should I order pizza on game day?

Order before the game ends rather than after. Cavs games typically finish around 10 PM and drive a two-hour rush, so placing an order during the third quarter means the food arrives around the final whistle instead of an hour later.

Which Rascal House delivers near Progressive Field?

The Downtown Cleveland location at 1836 Euclid Avenue covers Progressive Field and the Gateway District, along with Public Square, the Warehouse District, and East 4th Street. It is open until 2:30 AM seven nights a week.

How much food do I need for a watch party?

For a group of about 30, the Rascal House planning guide suggests combining sizes. A size B wing platter serves 24 to 32, and adding a size A serves another 10 to 16. Casual catering can be ready in as little as an hour.

Can I get delivery after a Browns game?

Yes. Browns games at Huntington Bank Field are mostly Sunday afternoons, and Rascal House Downtown delivers across the lakefront and downtown area until 2:30 AM every night, including Sunday.

What should I order for a group that cannot agree?

The Rascal House Deluxe covers most tastes on one pizza with pepperoni, mushrooms, green peppers, red onion, and Italian sausage. Add wings and a salad, and the whole order comes from one kitchen on one ticket.
