In honor of National Cheese Pizza Day, which is celebrated every year on September 5th, we thought it would be nice to let a slice of our cheese pizza say a few words. But we should warn you. She’s quite dramatic for someone who doesn’t spend the entire time she’s inside our oven staring at her reflection in the window. Unlike some other pizza we know (Rascal House Deluxe). Without further ado, take it away, cheese pizza!
“Some pizzas get dressed up before they go out. Me, I just throw on some cheese and watch everyone melt like teenage girls at a Jonas Brothers concert. There’s something about my ooey, gooey goodness that drives you crazy. It’s not like I’m new around here. Over 2 billion pounds of cheese get tossed on pizza every year in the U.S. alone. I guess sometimes you just crave a classic. A stringy, stretchy classic that’s funner than a barrel of monkeys in a bouncy house on a hill overlooking a field of golden, delicious Rascal House fries. I believe it was Billy Joel who said it best, ‘Don’t go changing to try and please me, I love you just the way you are.’ Was he speaking to a lover? Or a slice of cheese pizza contemplating additional toppings? It’s National Cheese Pizza Day, I’m going with the latter!”
