Did you visit the Cleveland National Airshow this past Labor Day weekend?! As usual, the three day airshow was spectacular!
The crowd was packed and the experience was awesome, just as it was back in 1929! How’s a throwback to the 1929 Cleveland National Airshow (then called the Cleveland National Air Races!) for this Throwback Thursday?
Check out these shots (from their website) from the 1929 Cleveland National Airshow:
“Spectators at Cleveland’s 1929 National Air Races”
“Mrs. Blanche Noyes was a competitor in the 1929 Women’s Air Derby, a race from Santa Monica, CA to Cleveland, OH…part of Cleveland’s National Air Races.”
“Paul Mantz, Amelia Earhart and Doug “Wrong Way” Corrigan were just some of the celebrities that attended the National Air Races in Cleveland, OH.”
“A formation of bi-planes flyby the Terminal Tower…all part of the National Air Races held in Cleveland, OH (Circa 1929-1949).”
