5 Must Visit Neighborhoods While In Cleveland For The 2016 RNC


As the 2016 Republican National Convention is rapidly approaching, your friends at Rascal House have taken it upon ourselves to help all the visitors on their way to the CLE plan what they’ll do in their downtime. Knowing that Cleveland is packed with character and culture, here are 5 little neighborhoods you’ve just got to see.

1. Uptown/University Circle

On the East side of Cleveland, you’ll find Uptown, loaded with world-class museums and tons of entertainment, including The Corner Alley, a classy new bowling alley located on the corner of Euclid and Ford. Uptown is quickly becoming Cleveland’s newest arts and entertainment district, complete with the renown Cleveland Institute of Art and the Museum of Contemporary Art, both located right on Euclid Avenue. 2. Little Italy

Located right next to Uptown/University Circle, Cleveland’s Little Italy is definitely worth the trip. Whether you’re looking for an authentic Lasagna dinner or a dreamy Cannoli, you’ll find it all in Little Italy. 3. Ohio City

Take a trip to the West side of Cleveland and visit Ohio City. You’ll walk right into a local dream, complete with the West Side Market, where you’ll find 100 vendors selling exquisite artisan foods and goods, and famous craft breweries including the local Great Lakes Brewing Co.! 4. Tremont

Also on the West side, you’ll find one of Cleveland’s oldest communities. Visit one of the many art galleries, book stores, boutiques or record stores that Tremont has to offer, or explore the Tremont Art Walk, every second Friday of the month. 5. Detroit Shoreway

Just 2 miles West of Downtown, Detroit Shoreway is a cool and exciting neighborhood with tons of character. Not only will you find beautiful Edgewater Park, but you’ll be entertained by both the Cleveland Public Theatre and the Capitol Theatre! If you’re into the arts, you’ll enjoy the Gordon Square Art District and the 78th Street Studios, where every 3rd Friday of the month artists open their studios to the public for fine arts and fine conversation.
