Did you know today is the 35th anniversary of one of the most iconic pizza scenes in cinematic history? On August 13th, 1982, Universal Pictures released Fast Times at Ridgemont High, a coming-of-age comedy written by Cameron Crowe. In the movie, Sean Penn plays Jeff Spicoli, a high school student with more than a few misplaced priorities. But even we can’t fault him for having a pizza delivered to his desk during history class. Allow us to summarize in case you forgot.

As you probably know, Mr. Hand takes the pizza from Spicoli and invites some of his other students to come up and get a slice. Check out Spicoli’s face in the picture above. We think he has that “today is the last day of summer and tomorrow I have to go back to school” look.
